Yes and No. Global Mortgage (MoXi) creates an experience for U.S. borrowers that you would typically expect for your borrowers, the major difference is the Mexican transfer of property rights which is much more labor intensive and that means initial fees are higher than what is usual and customary in the U.S.

Rates are determined on differing criteria such as LTV, FICO, DTI, etc. MoXi's rates range from 6%-8%.

We have closed multiple loans faster than in the U.S., but to be realistic, you should prepare for approximately 90 days. When purchasing property in Mexico, the seller is so much more a part of the transaction; Mexico financing is quite paper intensive and not performed digitally which needs to be a consideration.

MoXi offers fixed rate loans up to 25 years. Loan programs are available for primary, second homes and investment properties.

The closing of a loan in Mexico is different than in the U.S. - Global Mortgage (MoXi) handles the coordination of the closing along with all necessary documents and participants.
